I didn't want to write Betrayed. For years, I resisted my husband and son's urging to tell our story. I knew that if I agreed to write it I would have no choice but to relive it all: the false love, the euphoria, the humor, the pain... I would have to re-experience every aspect of the humiliation, the terror, and the devastation that followed, in order to make the story real for my readers.
The demonic harassment that would inevitably plague me during the writing of Betrayed was secondary to the fact that by sharing my experiences I would be exposing my own vulnerability. I'd be admitting to all who cared to read, that I'd allowed myself to be made a fool of.
My resistance might have continued to this day, had it not been for a friend's putting me in touch with a woman whose entire life had been a nightmare of demonic harassment. When I shared an account of my experiences with her, and told her what she needed to do to break free, she took my advice and it changed her life.
For the next year, this woman pleaded with me to write a book that would make my story known to the world. "Girl, there are hundreds of thousands of people just like me who could be helped by your story. You have to write it."
Like water chipping away at sandstone, she wore away my resistance till I finally agreed.

About the Author
Stacie Spielman began writing in elementary school when the teacher would make Spelling assignments to write stories that used the week's spelling words. Stacie would use her classmates as characters in her stories. As an adult, Stacie wrote human interest articles for a local newspaper, taking her young son Kevin with her for interviews. In her spare time, she did crafts and photography, and wrote human interest articles for GRIT and other magazines. But she always wanted to write Romance. Her plans to be a romance writer were put on hold when fate intervened, and she became involved with spirit guides who swore they were of God, but turned out to be demons. Betrayed by her Guardian Angel was her first book on this topic. She has since written another story (Nowhere to Turn, the true story of seven years alluded to but not covered in Betrayed) and three self-help e-books: Demonic Harassment From A to Z, When Doctors Don't Know, and What Demonic Spirits Don't Want You to Know. All of these books are available through Amazon for the Kindle.
